Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza - Santa Fe

We arrived late in Santa Fe . We were looking through our apps for pizza close by and places open. We found one. Boy, were they outstanding. They have thin pizza which was to die for: the tomato sauce had just the right amount of sweetness, the crust was perfectly balanced, the mushrooms were fresh and were just harvested that morning and the woodfired oven caused the pizza to have a smoky crispy crust with char. Heavenly! We ordered another cheese pizza for the kids. There were no morning leftovers on the cheese pizza. The kids finished it up that night. I only had a bite, but their cheese pizza was awesome. Both pizzas were AWESOME. They were so helpful during pick up. They asked if we needed forks, knives, napkins, crushed red peppers. The pizza was hot, fresh and tasty. This restaurant is a MUST attend.

We were visiting from Phoenix and happen to stumble upon this restaurant after already eating. It was busy and the environment was inviting. Today we tried it for lunch and loved it. The staff is extremely friendly and the ratio of staff to customers is great. The food was great and tasted not just perfect but also fresh and not like it was prepared with frozen food. The environment was clean and well taken care of. We sat inside but the outside and outside covered area look very inviting and comfortable. If you’re in the mood for a great salad and pizza please add this to your list!

We ate here on a Friday night around 5pm. It was busy but not too crazy yet. You walk in, order at the counter then find a seat. They bring your order to your table. Our service was great when we ordered and super fast at the table (and there was a party of 25 being served right behind us!) We got a vegetarian pizza on cauliflower crust (there was a rice flour choice for gluten free too-both were ready-made), a small house side salad, a large local beer and a large glass of wine. The house Italian salad dressing was DELICIOUS and we also loved the spicy oil to put on our pizza. The pizza was tasty and big enough for the 2 of us to split and be very full. Our bill was 52$ before the tip which felt reasonable for everything we got. Great food, great service, chillax atmosphere. We walked from our hotel, but noticed people were waiting and looking for parking spaces in the back parking lot when we left.

Amazing wood fired pizzas. The flour less Torta DI Seta chocolate cake was incredible. I highly recommend this place.

We are gluten free and vegan and got their rice flour crust and I cannot recommend it enough!! It was like and fluffy with a little crunch *chef kiss* They also had vegan cheese and vegan sausage !! Absolutely delicious, a must try.

I was craving wood fire pizza while in Santa Fe, and this place hit the spot! Great crust, sauce, and chili oil. Delish!

Il Vicino in Santa Fe was an excellent choice for a casual yet high-quality meal. The ordering system is efficient; guests place their orders at the counter upon entering, and then are seated while the food is prepared and brought to the table. The process feels smooth and well-organized. Someone in my party ordered the gluten-free pizza and really enjoyed it. However, it may not be suitable for individuals with celiac disease, as it is not prepared in a dedicated gluten-free environment. I ordered the Il Vicino salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. Both the food and service exceeded expectations, and I look forward to returning during my next visit to Santa Fe.
